EAC’s Coating Services ( also known as custom coating or toll coating)are based in the UK and USA include everything from a laboratory evaluation to pilot coating and full scale manufacturing.  Once into production minimum run sizes are around 10,000m2.

 

EAC is familiar with paper coating, film coating and even metal foil coating for a variety of end markets including medical, electronics, security, automotive and many other technically demanding markets. Within these markets typical examples include polyurethane coating for wound dressings, protective coatings for electronic masking materials, scratch resistant coatings for optical films and optically clear adhesives.

 

EAC has a number of coaters at different widths, each maintained in clean, positive pressure hepa filtered environments that deliver  products that meet the needs of the most stringent markets.

 

Coatings can be either a single or multiple layer and EAC  process can also facilitate lamination or delamination of webs.

 

EAC has the capability to apply coatings out of a variety of organic solvents, water and also 100% solids systems. Drying and curing is performed with either hot air impingement driers and UV cure.

 

To ensure compliance with agreed specifications EAC employs a number of on-line measurement techniques including camera systems and utilises statistical techniques to control processes.

 

In addition to the coating of substrates EAC can deliver slit rolls or sheets that are cut from larger master rolls.  These converting processes are also contained within positive pressure hepa filtered environments. In addition to these facilities in the UK and USA, EAC has a distribution and converting facility in Guangzhou, China.
